Students applying for FAST undergraduate admission in the engineering degree programs can get advantage from a number of scholarship programs offered in FAST. Here are the details.
Merit Base Scholarships:
Merit base scholarship is awarded to top three (3) position holder in each group of each Examination Board. Scholarship also offered to the top three (3) position holders of NU Merit List. The duration of scholarship is four year and it is equal to the full tuition fee. Students have to maintain semester GPA of 3.0 or higher for the continuation of Scholarship.
Scholarships of Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF):
Punjab government gives thirty (30) scholarships to needy students having Punjab domicile. Newly admitted students can apply in campus of the University for this Scholarship. This scholarship is only for undergraduate students doing four (4) year degree. It covers 50% of tuition fee and remaining 50% is provided by university as Qarz-E-Hasna.
Scholarships of Sindh Government Endowment Board:
Government of Sindh offers scholarships to the students of Karachi campus on need-cum-merit basses. Every year around about 25 scholarships offered under this scheme. This scholarship covers full tuition fee for entire duration of degree and it renewable every year. Quota system of this scholarship is that 60 % of students from rural sector and 40% students are from urban sector.
Scholarships of Baluchistan Government Endowment Board:
Government of Baluchistan offers scholarships to the students of Karachi campus on need-cum-merit basses. This scholarship covers full tuition fee for entire duration of degree and it renewable every year.
Study Loan:
Recognizing that the fees may not be affordable for some of its students, FAST arranges financial assistance in the form of interest-free study loans for bright needy students. Renewal of Financial assistance depends upon the academic performance of students. Financial assistance only covers tuition fee only and is stopped if the student’s CGPA falls below the minimum specified to avoid warning. Loan recipients MUST take full load of courses offered.
