Education Testing Council (ETC) test Introduced By HEC for Undergraduate Admissions in Medical & Engineering Universities

Higher Education Commission (HEC) introduced new testing system for Undergraduate admission in Engineering Universities and Medical Colleges. Education Testing Council (ETC) test also known as HEC test. ETC test is acceptable in many Public and private engineering universities and medical colleges of Pakistan. ETC test is free of cost no registration fee will be charged and its validity is for two years. The purpose of ETC test is to hold Higher Education Aptitude test for undergraduate admissions. ETC entry test is the Pakistan’s first government testing body established by Higher Education Commission (HEC). Students from Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, computer science, arts and ICOM can appear in ETC test to get admission in affiliated universities. Test Pattern for Engineering Universities:

Students willing to get admission in engineering universities have to appear in ETC test (HAT-UG-E) which is only for undergraduate admission in engineering fields. Subjects included in ETC test are Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. Total number of MCQ’s are 120 and Total time allowed for ETC test is 150 minutes.

Physics:        30 MCQ’s

Chemistry: 30 MCQ’s

Maths:          40 MCQ’s

English:       20 MCQ’s
